Inspired by Oaxaca and Veracruz Cloud Forests
This vivarium recreates the unique biome of Mexico's Cloud Forest, offering an enchanting yet remarkably low-maintenance bioscape. Boasting extreme biodiversity, it houses eight species of bromeliads, seven types of orchids, eight fern species, as well as a variety of aroids and carnivorous plants. Some of these species are advanced to care for and fickle by nature, but thanks to their strategic placement and the controlled habitat, they thrive and require minimal intervention. Together, these plants form a balanced, resilient ecosystem. A custom fogging system delivers cold, humid air, replicating the forest's signature mist. This system is designed for longevity, requiring less than monthly reservoir refills due to its large, concealed tank. Front-end fans, programmed to synchronize with the fogger, keep the glass clear for unhindered viewing. Dynamic lighting completes the setup, mimicking natural day-night cycles and coordinating with humidity levels.
